Sicilia Doc "Chiaramonte" 2021 Firriato
The quintessential indigenous Sicilian grape variety shines with new light in this wine, which expresses the authentic fullness of its fruit. It is a different expression of Nero d'Avola that powerfully evokes the aromatic component of the island's most important red grape variety. The particular characteristics of the Dàgala Borromeo estate, where this varietal grows, lend themselves to shaping its modern structure and complex olfactory profile. On the sandy-loam alluvial soils of this plateau, research conducted by Firriato reaches its highest peaks with viticulture attentive to fully revealing the great biodiversity of the heritage of indigenous Sicilian grape varieties. And Chiaramonte Nero d'Avola is one of the purest manifestations of this philosophy.
