It was born in 1999 from Gianni and Giorgio Venica’s desire to dedicate a true Cru wine to a special plot so well suited to growing Tocai Friulano grapes. The initial planting dates back to 1974, and morphological remodelling was carried out in 2005.

Harvest: Grapes harvested and destemmed between 3 and 18 September 2022.
Winemaking | Ageing: After harvesting, the grapes are macerated for about 18 hours at a temperature of 11/12°C in special containers, protected from oxygen with innovative systems by recycling fermentation carbon dioxide, in order to reduce the intake of antioxidants. Approximately 40% of the wine is aged in large 20/27 HL wooden barrels while the remaining part is aged in steel containers.
Bottling: The wine is then blended and bottled during full moons between March and June 2023.
Colour: Brilliant golden yellow colour.
Olfactory notes: From the highest hill, Friulano Cru acquires intense aromas: William pear, yellow peach and delicate notes of wild herbs and flowers. A light almond finish.
Tasting notes: Great structure in the mouth. Warm and harmonious, with a pleasant savouriness and freshness. A full-bodied and enveloping wine with fruity and intense notes; it closes with the typical almond taste of Friulano.
To pair with: Prawn risotto with orange zest, leek and wild garlic velouté or omelette. Very versatile: cured raw ham, cow and goat milk cheeses, fried eggs with grated truffle. Tagliolini with tomato and swordfish. Porcini mushroom risotto with abundant parsley sprinkles.
