NINO NEGRI SFURSAT DOCG NE300 CL.150
The 3000 project takes Sfursat beyond its borders, where the mountains and time enhance its character. Born from the drying of Nebbiolo grapes, Sfursat transforms at high altitudes, offering intense aromas of fruit, spices, and mineral freshness.
The numbered magnums were designed for true connoisseurs: each bottle is adorned with an exclusive bas-relief label that celebrates the Nino Negri 3000 project and is enclosed in an elegant wooden case, for those who desire a unique collector's item.
GRAPES: Nebbiolo (Chiavennasca).
PRODUCTION AREA: vineyards located at an altitude varying from 300 to 550 meters above sea level on sandy-loamy soils, shallow and with low fertility, supported by dry stone walls.
HARVEST: from the end of September, the grapes were hand-picked and placed in 4.5 kg boxes to be dried in the drying room, losing about 30% of their weight before vinification in January.
AGING: for several years, the wine was aged first in barrels and then in bottles in the Cantine di Chiuro at 300 meters above sea level. Subsequently, the bottled wine was transferred to Livigno at high altitude in the Carosello 3000 winery.
ORGANOLEPTIC NOTES: Ruby color of medium intensity; the long aging expresses still evident aromas of ripe red fruit alternated with classic spices such as pepper, cinnamon, and cloves, but also with notes of liquorice, mushroom, and hay. Dry taste, with an aftertaste of black fruit, enveloping tannin well balanced by a fresh acidity and a long, savory finish.
ALCOHOL CONTENT: 15.5% vol
OPTIMAL STORAGE: The wine was bottled only in magnum format. Thanks to the high-altitude aging, the wine shows evolutionary characteristics that suggest an aging potential of over twenty years.
On the peaks above Livigno, the Carosello 3000 refuge hosts the Sfursat Carlo Negri for aging. Here, between strong temperature variations and rarefied air, the wine acquires structure and freshness that reflect the purity of the Valtellina territory.
