Ca' Del Bosco Corte Del Lupo Rosso 2022 Curtefranca Doc Cl 75 Gd 13
The Curtefranca Rosso “Corte del Lupo” is a product with which Ca' del Bosco aims to re-evaluate one of the most traditional blends of the Curtefranca DOC. The fruity character of Merlot blends with the elegance of Cabernet Franc and the roundness of Carmenere, while structure and character come from the percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon present. A mix of international grape varieties carefully selected and tended throughout the winemaking process. A label that interprets the territory, nodding to the Bordeaux tradition, confirming the value of the Lombard terroir with a red wine of excellent prospects.
The “Corte del Lupo” is made starting from a blend of international red grape varieties, specifically Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Carmenere. The bunches of these varieties are selected from eight different vineyards, and vinification takes place separately for each varietal. Fermentation occurs at controlled temperatures in steel with daily pump-overs, while maceration lasts 20-22 days. Blending occurs after the end of malolactic fermentation. After racking, the wine is transferred to both small oak barrels and steel tanks, and the wine matures for a total of 21 months, until it is ready to be bottled.
The “Corte del Lupo” appears ruby red to the eye. The olfactory spectrum moves around notes of small red and black berries, enriched by more spicy sensations. On the palate, it is full-bodied, intense, with a full and overwhelming sip, which highlights a pleasant tannic texture, finely crafted. Not just bubbles, therefore, for Ca' del Bosco, which in this label has decided to rediscover the traditional red blend of the territory.
