GRAPPA MARZADRO ANFORA CL 70
.Softness, round taste, and enveloping aroma. These are the qualities of Anfora, a Grappa whose resting process is unique, not taking place in barrels but, precisely, in amphorae. This new technique utilizes one of the oldest containers known to man, terracotta vessels useful for transporting and preserving wine, oil, honey, and other foodstuffs.
The amphorae we chose are a blend of clay and terracotta, materials sourced from Montelupo and Impruneta, Tuscan towns renowned since the Middle Ages for their ceramic and terracotta craftsmanship. This is an innovative technique for spirits that we wanted to experiment with, achieving excellent results: the micro-oxygenation, double that which occurs with the use of barrels, enriches the Grappa in elegance and softness, thus imparting the characteristics of aging without the classic woody taste.
Anfora is a Grappa made from a blend of pomace from native Trentino grape varieties: 80% Teroldego, Marzemino, and Merlot; 20% Chardonnay, Müller Thurgau, and Moscato, which give it typical and unmistakable aromas and flavors of this territory.
